HistFest 2020 is a dynamic festival that celebrates the brightest and the best in the world of history. Over the course of three days, the festival will entertain and educate, featuring an eclectic mix of talks, panels, live performances and workshops.
With speakers drawn from the worlds of public history, academia, archaeology and the arts, we cover myriad histories to explore the ways in which Passion and Power have shaped the past – from Elizabeth I, Julius Caesar and Æthelflæd, to the ancient city of Palmyra, pioneering Native American explorers, eighteenth-century homosexual culture and anti-colonial insurgents.
Speakers include – Professor Suzannah Lipscomb, Emma Dabiri, Greg Jenner, Dr Janina Ramirez, Adjoa Andoh, Dr Helen Castor, Professor Michael Wood and many more.
