HistFest 2020

STATEMENT: 09/07/2020

Given the ongoing situation with COVID-19 and the challenges it presents to large indoor events, HistFest and the British Library have decided that the safest course of action is to postpone the rescheduled festival (19-20 September 2020) until next year. We are deeply sorry for any disappointment this may cause.

All those to have purchased tickets online will automatically be refunded. Those to have purchased tickets over the phone or at the Library will be contacted directly by the British Library to process their refund.

The good news is that the festival will return to the British Library during the Spring of 2021, with as much of our original line-up as possible. We are working hard behind the scenes to get everything in place and will update you as soon as tickets are available. We very much hope to see you all there.

Additionally, Femina: Writing Medieval Women Back into History (2 November 2020) with Dr Janina Ramirez is now going to be an online rather than a physical event. Refunds will be issued to ticket holders and full details about how to purchase tickets to this exciting online talk will be announced very soon, along with news of a couple of other online HistFest events.

We would like to take this moment to thank speakers, ticket holders and festival friends for your continued support and understanding.
